This is my response to today’s Daily Prompt over at The Daily Post.
—————-
The sound was almost unperceivable
The window of shaded glass showed night
I was tired in that rented room
My lips caressed a cigarette
And your eyes moved in affliction
From the tender saw of supplication
Still wearing a suit for my best friend wedding
I replied your supplications
Jumping through a window with disbelief
As you swore that a cat was suffering
I saw a mother of two baby kittens in disrepair
We picked the can of tuna to feed the tree
And as time passed by the sound of the mothers plea
As she pushed away a suffering cub
And running far from food that I had displayed
On the stone wall of the main road by the buildings back
You pushed your child to our arms
Making me take girl called Jackie into my heart
This was an offer I couldn’t refuse
This is beautiful. Can’t believe you managed to write that in 10 mins, cudos.
Thank You I wrote it in 9mins 48 seconds to be exact, It was a challenge that was “right up my street” When the mood takes me I just go with it!
Again Thank you for reading and taking the time to comment
No problem!
